The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) has received several contacts from members who are interested in assisting in the Haiti relief efforts, including management of facial trauma, AAOMS has compiled the following links that may be helpful to members seeking to provide financial or on-site support to Haiti:

  • Partners in Health is currently managing the university hospital in Port-au-Prince. They have indicated a need for OMSs and have an e-mail address posted where OMSs and other doctors can forward their contact information and qualifications for on-site assistance. Their website is http://www.standwithhaiti.org/haiti. To view information on donating supplies and services to Partners in Health, please read Partners In Health - How to Donate Supplies and Services.

  • AAOMS is a sponsor of Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO). HVO has posted the following information on their website; including a link to a hospital about 50 miles outside of Port-au-Prince which has been treating earthquake victims around the clock from Port-au-Prince and neighboring towns.
